I got to Tread Quarters the next morning and the manager could have cared less about my inconvenience. Was not concerned with the lack of communication about the change in closing time. To quote him, I have been on vacation for two weeks. Like that negates his responsibility in the matter. TREAD QUARTERS - never again, no matter what location.
Had my wife's jeep towed there with a flat tire to get patched. I couldn't get the tire off nor AAA. That's how it ended up there. After a day up there I got a call from Jonathan saying he couldn't patch the tire because of tread issue. He said I needed all 4 tires replaced. The jeep was inspected just 2 months before and were fine. And are fine.
This visit started so well and ended as a disaster. I had a bad tire on Labor Day. The guys are the front desk were very helpful and were relieved that I was OK with leaving the car. They knew I was driving down to Hatteras for the day ( 1 hour drive each way). Never did they tell me that they were closing early for Labor Day. I had four phone conversations with them during the day. We discussed how I was on the point of Hatteras Island. During those phone calls, they never once mentioned to me that they were closing early for Labor Day. There was no sign posted. Nothing on the website. I got to the shop at 5:38 well within the 7:30 closing time posted on the door. The shop was locked up and my car in the parking lot locked. I have to find somewhere to stay for the night instead driving home. I have to be in Chesapeake tomorrow morning for my first day of school with my students. (not gonna happen) I am not a happy camper. Cannot find the name of the manager anywhere. So frustrated.
This is the reason why I stopped using Colony Tire, it's predecessor, and will never use Tread Quarters again. I'd recommend using Pugh's instead. And that's saying something. Only reason I'd use them, is because I'm a AAA member and know if I have a problem, I can call them.
PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! COULDN'T HELP WITH A 10 MINUTE VALVE STEM JOB. THIS PLACE SUCKS, GO ELSEWHERE! BETTER YET TRY COINJOCK AUTOMOTIVE, THEY ARE AWESOME!
Did not rotate my tires like they are supposed to do when you get a oil change. Said they could not do the front end alignment correctly until i got a new so i buy a new tire from them and the alignment is still off pulls in the opposite direction.
We were there on vacation and our honda van started making a knocking noise. These guys tell me the engine is blown. They offered for us to leave it there until we figured out what to do. He said they had a few others outside in the same situation. I decided to just head home and get it as far as I could. The van made it home to Kernersville no problem. Took it to the Honda shop and we find out it's the power sterling pump. I doubt they even pulled it in the shop. I was told their best man looked at it. I would not suggest trusting this place.
