I am leaving from my first trip with Sun now and was truly disappointed. I was taking a family vacation with myself, my daughter, and two parents. I am 26 but look you be so upon check in I was given the third degree on if I planned to have a family in the house or a bunch of young people. I let them know who was in the home ( all listed on the lease). The next day someone showed up to check on us under the guise of "fixing" a toilet seat. There was no call to advise us they'd be coming and there was several hundred dollars in cash in the house. We were home so I questioned why someone showed up without calling and was told the office would call but the office said maintenance is supposed to call. Overall I felt like I was being watched the entire vacation and that people would come and go as they saw fit with no fair warning.
Outstanding Customer Service ! The house was in excellent condition when we arrived. I left an electric skillet there by mistake. They found it and had it shipped back to me. I've been renting vacation homes in OBX for 40 years and they are among the best.
The home we rented through them house 485 salt palace is infested with roaches and smells of mildew and sewage. The grounds unkept...friend got stuck in elevator... there was blood on pillow upon arrival. they refuse to send us to another home. The mgr stated they don't change comforter each week since they only have so much time to clean property... what the heck???? Horrible. Never do business with these people. I filed a complaint with bbb...but will have to refile with this location since it was filed with wrong location in kitty hawk instead of this one... The best part of this location is the younger man and older woman working in office... bit the one hound woman and manager are defensive and unapologetic...
Customer service at Sun Realty was very disappointing. Will not rent from them again. House needed a little TLC. Air Conditioning broke down....twice. The first tech that came did not know what he was doing. The second guy (Will) spent a lot of time working on it and got it going. It had trouble keeping up the rest of the week, but did an near-adequate job. The WIFI and televisions on the first floor did not work. When we called Sun Realty to report, they suggested we go to Dunkin Donuts for WIFI (yes, they really said that!). This issue was never resolved. A breaker tripped and took out half the third floor. Breaker box was behind a locked door and inaccessible. Sun Realty's response was to call the electric company who showed-up at 11:00 PM. Sliding doors are shot and very difficult to open (pulled the handle off one door trying to open it!). Other than that, it was a great house! It was suggested I talk to Floyd....Floyd was useless and brought nothing to the customer service experience.
