Went tonight and was very disappointed. I paid over 7 dollars for the smallest hot fudge/ peanut butter sundae. I was shocked at the scant amount of hot fudge that was added to the sundae, maybe one teaspoon at best. I did think the custard tasted incredible but was shocked at the small size and scant toppings relative to the high price.
I would highly recommend this local place for either lunch or dessert. However, the kitchen closes at 8 and I would expect a line.
Whenever we go down to OBX this is a must do treat for us. Hubby and I rode down for a quick dinner and a stop at Kill Devil's Custard. It's about an hour drive for us and it's a great way to spend a summer evening. The hot fudge is amazing!
Went with the whole family after hearing how great this place was. It was good don't get me wrong, but it wasn't amazing. The staff was amazing! It was a little over priced, but that is expected in a tourist place.
Fun stuff. Quick service...order and wait a few minutes. Freshly made and tasty. Variety of things including frozen custard.
We usually go for the custard which is awesome. However, this time I stopped on a whim for lunch. I had the better burger which truly lived up to its name. The hand cut fries were also fantastic. You can really tell the difference between these and the frozen ones you get from most other places.
