The sites are flat, I did not have lift the other side of the trailer to get it level.

Sites are gravel.

My favorite campground in the outer banks!!! The staff if fantastic and the sites are huge! This campground is very clean and beautiful. ... I highly recommend staying here

The people are real friendly

Nice and quite place to visit.

Great camping spot! Dawn at the office is very friendly and helpful. All spaces we're back in but plenty of space to maneuver. Small playground for the kids. On the sound side but only 5 min from the beach and many other activities. We will return :-)

Normally we spend Labor Day weekend at the same campground and have for about 5 years now. However, this year we decided to surprise our daughter who has been living in KDH all summer. I didn't know what to expect because I had never seen this campground. Luckily someone had cancelled their plans so we were able to get a spot at the last minute. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the campground. The staff was MORE than friendly and accommodating to our needs. The sites were amazing. We've never stayed anywhere that had sites this big!!! Yes, there is a 5 mph speed limit and while I guess that can be a little slow, we were happy to obey the limit as it is a gravel road that isn't perfect (but isn't terrible either). We don't want to tear our truck/camper up so of course we were fine with the speed limit. As for the trees, yes, it is a big open area with no trees on the campsites (maybe one or two), but you can bring canopies and fans and make your own shade. Anyways, this is an amazing find for us and we WILL be back.

There is no convince store but they do have ice available.

Great little campsite

Nice campground with modern full hookups that worked well. The grounds are well maintained. I didn't use the bath house but it looked clean and there were 4 or 5 showers. The staff was extremely nice. The only drawback for my family and I is that there is no pool. Granted, the beach isn't far away but it's nice to be able to take a dip in a pool. I was told that there is no intention to have a pool installed. Other than that, the location is off the beaten path (primarily 158) which we liked. Easy in and out with our 36 foot travel trailer. Internal roads and sites are gravel. Sites are mostly level. There are 2 restaurants nearby one of which we ate at and it was excellent. Colingtons Cafe. Also, very close to the Wright Brothers Memorial.
